Bimmerfest East
August 9th, 2011 by Elusive MediaAfter years of Bimmerfest being on the West Coast, Bimmerfest has come to the East Coast. With Nearly 1900 cars pre-registered and 4000 spectators, if you are into anything BMW, you should of been at this event. The inaugural Bimmerfest East event took place at Ripken Stadium, just north of Baltimore MD; ~3.5hrs from NYC & Richmond, VA. Between the assortment of BMW models and vendors, caravans to and from the event, it was one hell of a good day.

Carlisle Bike Fest ’11
July 31st, 2011 by Elusive MediaThat time of the year again, mid summer at Carlisle for Bike Fest! Ever year you are worried about rain, but this year, it was all about keeping hydrated. For the 3 day event, temperatures reached in the the triple digits and with humidity in the 90s, the real feel was as high as 115f. Despite the heat, there was some amazing looking bikes & plenty of vendors to keep you busy. Props to the World Famous Frisbee Dogs, StarBoyz, and the contestants for enduring the heat through the day to keep the fans entertained.

Tuner Evolution
July 22nd, 2011 by Elusive MediaAfter a few year break, Tuner Evolution returns for 2011 with a great showing of some of the hottest cars, motorcycles, and models. This show had a mix for everyone one, Euro, Domestic, SUV, VIP; all touching with the performance and/or style setups. Tuner Evolution also kept the day busy with the Hooters Wing Eating and a 5lb burrito full of hot sauce competition. If food wasn’t your thing, the Flatland BMX competiton, RC Drift demo, or Motorcycle Stunts was another thing to keep you busy between looking at all the 2 and 4 wheel rides. As the sun started to set, the main stage put on some live music; from Rap to Rock, they had about everything covered. Mekno, The Riot, The 90s, Paradise Movement, Chantz Kacey, Cidy, The Substance, Tommorrow’s Yesterday, & Phene kept the music going til the bikini contest started and then finally the award ceremony.

Formula D; Round 4 – The Gauntlet
July 1st, 2011 by Elusive MediaFormula DRIFT hit Wall Speedway for Round 4 aka “The Gauntlet” on June 18th. This year was an exciting race where the Gauntlet lived up to it’s name and claimed many cars during qualifications and the main competition with their 30 degree embankments and 16 degree banked ovals along the straightaways. Conrad Grunewald (Hankook Chevy Camaro) took the 1st place victory from 2nd place Justin Pawlak (Falken Ford Mustang) in a very tight “classic American muscle car” competition – Mustang vs Camaro. The battle for 3rd went to Daijiro Yoshihara (Discount Tire/Falken Nissan 240SX) after Ryan Tuerek (Mobil 1/Gardella Racing Chevy Camaro) crashed into the wall in the initial turn. Formula DRIFT and Wall Speedway showcased an excellent race to a near sold-out capacity event proving that this highly competitive sport is growing every season.

2nd Annual Supra – RX7 – Z
June 28th, 2011 by Elusive MediaThis years 2nd annual Supra – RX – Z shootout took place at Island Dragway. The sun was out and not a chance of rain in sight. Sadly this event was pushed back a week(rain in the forecast), and rescheduled on father’s day, which definitely took a toll on the totals. The guys that showed up put down some impressive times.

MPACT
June 28th, 2011 by Elusive MediaThis was MPACTs first annual BMW and exotic car show. All money raised was donated to Wounded Warrior Project. Location of MPACT was “spot on”; Camden Yards Sports Complex Inner Harbor, Baltimore MD. 3hr drive for us north jersey folk, while only a few hour drive for the VA/DC guys, a good halfway point for everyone. Even with the weather in the low 90s, Sons of the radio(band), along with a DJ kept the music going all day, while the food stand kept everyone full and hydrated. MPACT was one hell of a show for its first year, excellent turnout, Dyno, and amazing raffle prices…ie: 40″ LCD TV, csl style wheels, and a few thousand in certificates; the sponsors really did step it up to make this one event to remember.
As everyone is saying, See you next year MPACT!

WEKFEST TOUR: LA 2011
June 7th, 2011 by Elusive MediaQueen Mary Event Park was the location for WEKFEST TOUR LA EDITION. Perfect day for a car event, weather was spectacular and the turn out was insane! Stance car’s everywhere from clean looking Prius running an Air-runner system to old school JDM rides with swapped motors! One owner even brought his collections of exotics all in White! Plenty of vendors and females (more shots neded) out to support the Stance scene. Great turn out and well organized if you have a chance to hit up the next tour location Chicago Aug 20th 2011 you will not be disappointed! Props to Weksos Industries and Fatlace for one hella of event!
