Mike Wolfe from American Pickers was a special guest for Indian motorcycles with his recently restored 1938 Indian and helped announce the new engine that will be powering the next generation of Indian Motorcycles. For anyone that follows or is interested in MotoGP, the MotoGP Experience give you a look at all 3 classes including the recently CRT bikes added to the MotoGP grid. Indianapolis GP was there promoting their race and a chance to win a free weekend at the race w/ VIP and flight, one hell of a deal for the winners!! XDL Street Jam was there to promote their Championship series and put on many demonstrations throughout the weekend with head-2-head battles. Long Beach, Calif. – December 3, 2012 – Formula DRIFT has announced a special charity event to benefit the American Red Cross’s Hurricane Sandy relief efforts on December 13 at Irwindale Speedway. Professional drift ride-alongs from Formula DRIFT stars will be for sale to the public with proceeds to going to the relief fund.
“Hurricane Sandy affected a lot of people on the East Coast and we realize the help that is needed to restore the quality of life for many,” said Jim Liaw, president and co-founder of Formula DRIFT. “The Series has many friends, fans and family living in the affected parts of the country and we invite everyone to come attend this special event to help support those in need.”
Formula DRIFT ride-alongs from the Series top drivers such as Daijiro Yoshihara, Justin Pawlak, Odi Bakchis, Kyle Mohan, Jeff Jones, Danny George and more will be available to give once in a lifetime ride-alongs that will be for sale. Raffle tickets will also be on-sale at the event for a chance to win great prizes from Formula DRIFT partners including Sparco, Fatlace, Yoshihara Design, Nitto, Alpinestars, ACT Clutches, Motegi Racing, Discount Tire, EBC Brakes, Falken, K&N and more.
The event is free and open for all fans to attend from 6 – 9 PM. Companies and Individuals can purchase ride-alongs via the Formula DRIFT website: www.formuladrift.com. Donations are also welcome with all proceeds to be donated to the American Red Cross.

[COVERAGE] Exxxotica New Jersey
November 15th, 2012 by Elusive MediaExxxotica starts just 1 week after Hurricane Sandy the expo & days easier Nor’easter Athena drops seven inches of snow. Even with 2 feet of water in the expo center from Sandy, Exxxotica show continued as planned with the work of all the organizers. Because of the devastation in the area “Organizers Three Expo Events” started Exxxotica Gives Back, which raised food, clothing, house-hold goods, along with donations and silents auctions which raised close to $5000, and directly benefited the not-for-profit charity, Relief for Little Ferry and Moonachie Fund. With that being said, attendance was still outstanding for all 3 days. Over 100 stars and 100 exhibitors showed what the adult world has to offer. Saturday night fans enjoyed hip-hop group Naughty By Nature, while seminars and shows, like Miss Exxxotica and RubberDoll, kept the fans entertained throughout the weekend.

Daigo Saito is Victorious at Round 7: Title Fight and is Crowned the 2012 Formula DRIFT Champion
Long Beach, Calif. – October 13, 2012 – Formula DRIFT returned to Irwindale Speedway for the 2012 season finale. Daigo Saito in the Achilles Tire / Bridges Racing Lexus SC430 takes the event victory and wins the 2012 Formula DRIFT Championship.
Round 7: Title Fight at Irwindale Speedway showcased drifting in its finest form. For the first time in Formula DRIFT and Irwindale Speedway history the event sold out before the gates opened to the public.
“Last year was so amazing we didn’t think we could do it again, not like this“ said Jim Liaw, president and co-founder of Formula DRIFT. “This is why we love drifting. We are so energized for season 10 starting April 12-13, 2013.”
The competition was intense as the championship was up for grabs. Entering the event, seven drivers had a chance for the title. This soon changed as top drivers in the chase were taken out early including points leader Vaughn Gittin, Jr. in the Monster Energy / Falken Ford Mustang, defending champion Daijiro Yoshihara, in the America’s Tire / Falken Tire Nissan 240 and the 2009 champion, Chris Forsberg in the NOS Energy / Hankook Nissan 370Z. This opened the door for both Daigo Saito and Rhys Millen in the RMR / Hankook Hyundai Genesis Coupe who met in the Final Four. Millen, the number one qualifier took himself out as he went hard into the wall giving the win to Saito. The wall took a number of victims through the competition including Justin Pawlak in the Falken Tire Ford Mustang when he battled Saito in the Finals, giving Saito the event victory. Saito in his rookie year in the Series becomes the first Series rookie to also be crowned Formula DRIFT champion. Saito a seasoned veteran drifter is arguably considered the best drifter in the world winning the Formula DRIFT Asia championship, D1 championship and now Formula DRIFT Pro Championship.
“Luck was with me tonight. I’m very happy to be able to compete in Formula DRIFT this year. I’ve wanted to compete in the Series for so long,” said Daigo Saito, winner of Round 7: Title Fight and 2012 Formula DRIFT champion. “Thank you to Formula DRIFT and Achilles Tires. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the help of everyone that helped me get to this point.”
Formula DRIFT enters its tenth season of competition in 2013. Tickets are on-sale currently and can be purchased through the Formula DRIFT website and Ticketmaster. Round 1: Streets of Long Beach will be held on April 12-13, 2013.

JCCS also known as Japanese Classic Car Show took place Saturday September 21st at the Queen Mary in Sunny Long Beach California. If you are a fan of the classic Datsun, Toyota, Mazda, makers then this was the place to be. Each year this show is getting bigger and bigger.
JDM Legends a shop located in Utah made the journey to Southern California and they brought some of the cleanest classic cars to this show! EM fell in love with classic Mazda RX-7 with a wild body kit!
It was truly a honor to shoot some of the cleanest classic cars we have seen in some time.
We at EM can not wait to visit next year’s show!

[COVERAGE] MPACT 2012
September 16th, 2012 by Elusive MediaMPACT is a pretty long day, up at 6am and just under 375miles round trip, but there are many reasons that make this show worth the drive. For one, it’s located in the beautiful downtown Baltimore inner harbor area. With that location, within ~150 miles, you have NYC, Philly, DC, Harrisburg, Allentown, & Richmond, so you end up seeing some fresh cars that you normally don’t see at local shows. Another reason is the caravans on the drive down, no way better to start the early trip than with a bunch of your fellow car enthusiasts. There was also said to have a helicopter follow some of the caravans, but i see one in the air, but did see it at the event; will be interesting to see what they ended up getting from the air.
This year MPACT stepped it up with having having an AutoX event and the ever so popular dyno was back again. If you go to enough of these events, you know food & drinks usually ends up with a nice long wait, this year they added a few more vendors and variety of food, with one being “Snowball Experience”…100 different flavors…YES! Overall, everything was improved over last years event. Better use of the parking lots, more food, vendors like VAC Motorsports to Philly McLaren, activities like AutoX & Dyno, and of course 100’s of BWM’s all day with exotics in the mix. Don’t forget this was all put on to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project! Huge Thanks to the Staff of MPACT for putting on a great event. Look forward to 2013!

September 1st, 2012 by Elusive MediaWEKFEST was created in 2009 by Weksos Industries which is based in San Francisco Bay Area. Over the past few years WEKFEST has been gaining popularity, and fans of the show wanted to see it branch out to other regions of the US. WEKFEST made the decision that they would launch a USA Tour, which hits the NY/NJ area, hence “WEKFEST East”!! Hundred of cars applied for entry into the show, but WEKFEST would handpick each one to give car enthusiast the best that the “EAST” could put on display. When we pulled into the lot, the amount of show ready cars in the parking lot that didn’t get into the show, you knew this one was going to be something special. The East Coast did not disappoint wit the abundance of beautify modified cars!!

[COVERAGE] Formula DRIFT | Round 6 | After Dark | Las Vegas | Qualifying

Round 6 of Formula DRIFT took place in Hot and Steamy Las Vegas, just a 3 hr drive from my home base so I decided to head out to Sin City and check out the action. Traffic delayed my arrival so Friday Night I had to settle for shots taken from the crowds. The action on the track did not disappoint. Car sliding sideways and hot females in the crowd cheering them on.
With a new track configuration for this year’s event it was fun watching the drivers adapt, some quicker than others.
Fredric Aasbo in his Scion Racing TC was on point and took top qualifying, Rhys Millen in his Hyundai Genesis was right behind him in points.
It was really nice to see some of the creative lighting that some of the teams but together to show off some crazy sliding action.
