October 10th, 2025 by Elusive MediaThe 2025 MotoAmerica season came to a thrilling conclusion at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey, with a weekend packed with close racing, championship celebrations, surprise results, and plenty of drama.
The biggest story came in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship, where Cameron Beaubier entered Sunday 13 points behind championship leader Bobby Fong. Fong had strengthened his title hopes with a victory in Saturday’s opening race, but the championship picture changed dramatically on Sunday. Fong crashed out while battling Josh Herrin and Beaubier in Race 2, allowing Herrin to take the victory and Beaubier to finish second.
That set up a winner-take-all atmosphere for the final race. Fong again led early, but another crash on Lap 8 ended his championship hopes. Beaubier went on to win the race and capture his sixth MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. Sean Dylan Kelly finished second, while Hayden Gillim earned his first career Superbike podium in third. Beaubier finished the season with 371 points, ahead of Herrin with 346 and Fong with 339.
There was plenty to celebrate throughout the other MotoAmerica classes as well. Mathew Scholtz completed a dominant weekend by winning both Supersport races and securing his second consecutive Supersport Championship aboard the all-new Yamaha R9. Scholtz ended the year with an impressive 11 victories and 16 podiums in 18 races.
The Mission King of the Baggers provided its own share of excitement. Hayden Gillim won Saturday’s race before finishing a close second to Cameron Petersen on Sunday, with Petersen taking the finale by just 0.208 seconds. Kyle Wyman, who had already secured the championship, celebrated a season that included seven victories and a commanding title-winning points margin.
In Twins Cup, Hank Vossberg ended his season in memorable fashion by capturing his first career victory on Sunday. Alessandro Di Mario, who had already clinched the championship, finished second on Saturday and closed out a dominant season with seven victories and a 97-point championship advantage.
The weekend also produced several personal milestones. Hayden Gillim’s third-place Superbike finish marked his first podium in the premier class, while JD Beach swept all three Superbike Cup races. Ian Fraley also recorded his best overall weekend of the season in Talent Cup with seventh- and eighth-place finishes.
From last-lap battles and first-time podiums to championship celebrations and heartbreaking crashes, MotoAmerica’s season finale at NJMP had a little bit of everything. Most importantly, it kept the Superbike Championship undecided until the final race of the year, with Cameron Beaubier completing an incredible comeback to leave New Jersey as a six-time champion.

[COVERAGE] MotoAmerica: New Jersey
October 16th, 2024 by Elusive MediaThe racing weather Gods must of been on side this weekend. On my travels to the raceway on Saturday, it was rain the whole way down! Twenty minutes from the track, the skies open up and sun for the entire rest of the day! This weekend as packed full. New Jersey has been the final round for the past few years, and many times it comes down to this round to see who’s on top; this year is no different! Josh Herrin on top of the Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati won his second AMA Superbike Championship after race 1 on Saturday! Mathew Scholtz clinches his first Supersport title, while Davis Nabs grabs his first supersport win! Fun Fact: Herrin tied Wayne Rainey on the all-time Superbike win list for 10th with his 16th victory. He is now one victory behind the Kentucky Kid, Nicky Hayden for ninth on the win list.
On Sunday, Herrin’s teammate Loris Baz captures his first AMA Superbike win on top of the Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati. This also marks the first time a Frenchman has secure top position in AMA Superbike! King Of The Baggers title was also crowed this weekend. Troy Herfoss on top of the S&S/Indian Motorcycle took the title with seven wins this season. Stock 1000 was taken by Real Steel Motorsports’ Hayden Gillim. Honda hasn’t been doing too well in MotoGP, but they secure their first MotoAmerica title on the Honda CBR1000RR-R SP with Gillim.

[COVERAGE] MotoAmerica: New Jersey
October 1st, 2023 by Elusive MediaNow that I’m finally dry from a full weekend of wet racing, lets get to it! All classes had a handful around the 2.25 mile track. I don’t think anyone saw a dry race line all weekend. REV’IT! Twins Cup and Mission King Of The Baggers titles were up for grabs, where all the others classes have been clinched. Weekend was full of action with 6 different classes racing, which includes the Mission Mini Cup By Motul.

[COVERAGE] MotoAmerica: New Jersey
September 18th, 2021 by Elusive MediaMotoAmerica returns to New Jersey! The 2.25Mile track has made some improvements since last year. Turn 3, 8 and 10 had payment patches replaced along with sealer along the whole track at Thunderbolt. It made for some great racing this weekend, especially with the Superbike Triple header(and fantastic weather)! We also so saw the return of Josh Herrin after catching covid before the last round. Two months away from racing, but after race one, he was able to get back on the podium for race two and three. Toni Elias was able to fight off Bobby Fong, with less than 2 tenth of a second splitting them for third in race one. Jake Gagne and Mathew Scholtz were able to secure 1st and 2nd for all three races! At the end of race weekend, Jake Gagne was able to secure his 16th straight win! And after this 2nd race he was able to secure his first Superbike Championship! Congratulations to the whole Fresh N’ Lean Attack Performance Yamaha team!

[COVERAGE] MotoAmerica New Jersey Round 9
September 14th, 2018 by Elusive MediaMotoAmerica continues at New Jersey Motorsports Park with many championships ready to be clinched, but with heavy rain and winds, mother nature wasn’t going to make it easy! This weekend reminded me of my first time attending MotoGP back in 2008 at Indianapolis, a Tropical storm race day. In this occasion, this was my first time attending MotoAmerica and both days mother nature was relentless in not giving us a dry race, But this did not stop everyone from viewing some top class racing. It’s still amazing me every time witness see a wet race and how fast these rides can go lap after lap on the edge. The next time you see a bad forecast for a race weekend at MotoAmerica, don’t worry, racing will continue and you will be in awe!
Congrats to Cameron Beaubier (Monster Energy/Yamalube/Yamaha Factory Racing) for taking this years 2018 Motul Superbike Championship (His third time), Alex Dumas (Monster Energy/Yamaha Extended Service/Graves/Yamaha) to clinching his Liqui Moly Junior Cup Championship and Andrew Lee (KTM Orange Brigade/JP43 Training) for securing his Stock 1000 Championship!
A special shout-out to Roger Hayden! He’s retiring after the next round in MotoAmerica and 20 years of racing motorcycles competitively. It was fantastic to see him race over the years along with seeing him racing in some wildcards in the past; MotoGP and Moto2. This also marks an end of an era for the 3 Hayden brothers. I will miss cheering them on from either the TV or attending a race!
