After the sun set in Los Angeles on November 27th 2009 the Sports Arena filled with wild sports fans as the LA Temptations faced off against the undefeated Seattle Mist in a game that was action packed till the very last second. Seattle mist started the game off with an easy touchdown, but that didn’t last long as the LA Temptations worked their way back. Hard tackle after hard tackle got the crowd up on their feet.
Both teams went head to head with energy radiating into the crowd. It was a battle to the very end, but the Seattle Mist just could not hold off the LA Temptation and their will to win. As Lindsey Blaine from the Seattle Mist suffered an injury to her chin in the first half, the Mist where forced to make some changes. But no matter what changes they made it was not enough to hold back the LA Temptation as they went on to win the game 26-20.

The No. 2 ranked Philadelphia Passion hosted their home opener last night against the Miami Caliente at Sovereign Bank Arena (Trenton, NJ). We were expecting offesensive fireworks from both teams, best passing combo in the league with Miami’s QB #12 Anonka Dixon to #11 WR Tina Caccavale or the sweet feet of Philly’s RB #13 Tyrah Lusby who exploded for 5 TD’s last week against New york, but last night it was all about defense. The team whose defense stepped up won the game. Both teams fought hard, but Miami’s defensive key plays resulted in a fumble and an interception that sealed the game.

What a way to kick off the “Turnpike Rivalry” weekend. Eagles vs Giants.. Phillies vs Yankees.. Passion vs Majesty? If last nights game is an indication of how the weekend games would turn out, then the Philly fans should be very happy. Philadelphia Passion took a commanding lead from the get go and never looked back. The final score was 40-6.

One of the last big meets/events of the year was held at GPNY(Grand Prix New York) this past weekend. The weather was crisp and cool in the morning and rose to a comfortable 65f and sunny. It’s a great day to drive up to Mt. Kisco for checking out some euro cars and doing some karting action!

Round 4 did not disappoint. The spectators had plenty to see and do. Along with the D1 USA Championship round, there was also a Roadstar carshow, stunt bikes and a bikini show. Thank you D1GP for an awesome event!
