Fong had strengthened his title hopes with a victory in Saturday\u2019s opening race, but the championship picture changed dramatically on Sunday. Fong crashed out while battling Josh Herrin and Beaubier in Race 2, allowing Herrin to take the victory and Beaubier to finish second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That set up a winner-take-all atmosphere for the final race. Fong again led early, but another crash on Lap 8 ended his championship hopes. Beaubier went on to win the race and capture his sixth MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. Sean Dylan Kelly finished second, while Hayden Gillim earned his first career Superbike podium in third. Beaubier finished the season with 371 points, ahead of Herrin with 346 and Fong with 339.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was plenty to celebrate throughout the other MotoAmerica classes as well. Mathew Scholtz completed a dominant weekend by winning both Supersport races and securing his second consecutive Supersport Championship aboard the all-new Yamaha R9. Scholtz ended the year with an impressive 11 victories and 16 podiums in 18 races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mission King of the Baggers provided its own share of excitement. Hayden Gillim won Saturday&#8217;s race before finishing a close second to Cameron Petersen on Sunday, with Petersen taking the finale by just 0.208 seconds. Kyle Wyman, who had already secured the championship, celebrated a season that included seven victories and a commanding title-winning points margin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Twins Cup, Hank Vossberg ended his season in memorable fashion by capturing his first career victory on Sunday. Alessandro Di Mario, who had already clinched the championship, finished second on Saturday and closed out a dominant season with seven victories and a 97-point championship advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The weekend also produced several personal milestones. Hayden Gillim&#8217;s third-place Superbike finish marked his first podium in the premier class, while JD Beach swept all three Superbike Cup races. Ian Fraley also recorded his best overall weekend of the season in Talent Cup with seventh- and eighth-place finishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From last-lap battles and first-time podiums to championship celebrations and heartbreaking crashes, MotoAmerica&#8217;s season finale at NJMP had a little bit of everything.
