[COVERAGE] MPACT 2012
September 16th, 2012 by Elusive MediaMPACT is a pretty long day, up at 6am and just under 375miles round trip, but there are many reasons that make this show worth the drive. For one, it’s located in the beautiful downtown Baltimore inner harbor area. With that location, within ~150 miles, you have NYC, Philly, DC, Harrisburg, Allentown, & Richmond, so you end up seeing some fresh cars that you normally don’t see at local shows. Another reason is the caravans on the drive down, no way better to start the early trip than with a bunch of your fellow car enthusiasts. There was also said to have a helicopter follow some of the caravans, but i see one in the air, but did see it at the event; will be interesting to see what they ended up getting from the air.
This year MPACT stepped it up with having having an AutoX event and the ever so popular dyno was back again. If you go to enough of these events, you know food & drinks usually ends up with a nice long wait, this year they added a few more vendors and variety of food, with one being “Snowball Experience”…100 different flavors…YES! Overall, everything was improved over last years event. Better use of the parking lots, more food, vendors like VAC Motorsports to Philly McLaren, activities like AutoX & Dyno, and of course 100′s of BWM’s all day with exotics in the mix. Don’t forget this was all put on to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project! Huge Thanks to the Staff of MPACT for putting on a great event. Look forward to 2013!

BimmerStock & Gold Coast Concours ’11
September 26th, 2011 by Elusive MediaThis event worried me a bit, because it’s a rain or shine. Myself and everyone else wanting to see this charity event bring in big numbers for Diabetes Research Institute. At one point during the week, it was 70% rain, but as the week progressed, 70% changed to 30% …thankfully. Last year the event saw some rain, and it reduced the number of attendees, but this year the streets of Glen Cove were full of exotics from Ferarri’s, Lamborghini’s , Aston Martin;s, Maserati’s, to Porsche ( & BMW of course). There was no signs of rain from my long 100 mile drive there or back; 80f & and even a bit of sun during the day! I had a great time and look forward to being apart of this charity even next year. Props to Martino Auto Concepts, Glen Cove, sponsors, vendors & bands for all the work they put into making this a successful charity event!

Bimmerfest East
August 9th, 2011 by Elusive MediaAfter years of Bimmerfest being on the West Coast, Bimmerfest has come to the East Coast. With Nearly 1900 cars pre-registered and 4000 spectators, if you are into anything BMW, you should of been at this event. The inaugural Bimmerfest East event took place at Ripken Stadium, just north of Baltimore MD; ~3.5hrs from NYC & Richmond, VA. Between the assortment of BMW models and vendors, caravans to and from the event, it was one hell of a good day.

MPACT
June 28th, 2011 by Elusive MediaThis was MPACTs first annual BMW and exotic car show. All money raised was donated to Wounded Warrior Project. Location of MPACT was “spot on”; Camden Yards Sports Complex Inner Harbor, Baltimore MD. 3hr drive for us north jersey folk, while only a few hour drive for the VA/DC guys, a good halfway point for everyone. Even with the weather in the low 90s, Sons of the radio(band), along with a DJ kept the music going all day, while the food stand kept everyone full and hydrated. MPACT was one hell of a show for its first year, excellent turnout, Dyno, and amazing raffle prices…ie: 40″ LCD TV, csl style wheels, and a few thousand in certificates; the sponsors really did step it up to make this one event to remember.
As everyone is saying, See you next year MPACT!

Eurofest ’11
May 23rd, 2011 by Elusive MediaIn the number of 600+ cars, Eurofest 2011 was a huge success, especially for only being their 2nd year at doing this charity event. This year Eurowerkz attracted some big name sponsors, Toyo Tires, Active AutoWerke, Paul Miller BMW,…etc. Along with the sponsors, they raffled over $7k worth if prizes, which helped raise money for the charity, Project Kids Worldwide. To check out the other sponsors, or learn more about the charity event/meet, please visit eurofest’s website.

M3 KOP Meet
March 28th, 2011 by Elusive MediaWarmer weather is on the move, even though it was only 40F out today (sunny but windy), a few of my fellow M3 owners got together at KOP. After we had enough of the cold, a bunch of us headed over to Champps for some grub. Good times!

The 3rd Annual meet took place on another gorgeous sunny day at the Allentown Expo Center. Instead of just having a bunch of car guys/girls talking about what next mod they are looking to purchase, the eastcoastbimmer guys decided to throw a bit of drifting, burnout, and “beat up the bimmer” into the mix. The crowed loved the added excitement and we all can’t wait for the next! If your in the Tri-State area, be sure to come out to the next one… we all know it’s only going to get bigger and better.
Be sure to check out eastcoastbimmers.com for up-to-date information on future meets or events. For now, enjoy the photos and be sure to check out the gallery for the rest!

One of the last big meets/events of the year was held at GPNY(Grand Prix New York) this past weekend. The weather was crisp and cool in the morning and rose to a comfortable 65f and sunny. It’s a great day to drive up to Mt. Kisco for checking out some euro cars and doing some karting action!
Some info about GPNY: At a staggering 120,000 square feet Grand Prix New York is the nation’s premier venue for corporate entertainment, social functions, and recreational indoor racing. Grand Prix New York is proud to offer two perfectly manicured tracks that are 24 feet wide and over a quarter of a mile in length each. With decreasing radius turns, elevation changes, the most advanced timing and scoring systems, no expense has been spared to make this the most complete, authentic and thrilling racing experience available.
